Last Friday while driving home from Lancaster, we were caught in a torrential downpour. Naturally, I pulled out my camera and had a photo shoot–to the amusement of the rest of the car. (I also videotaped myself singing “Leave the Pieces” by The Wreckers, but I have destroyed the evidence.)
Do you like to drive in downpours like fearless BFF Sarah? (Actually, she did pull over twice.) Would you rather see pics of Amish buggies from Lancaster County? (I don’t photograph the Amish and Mennonites since they don’t like it.) What was the worst storm you ever drove through? Was there a rainbow?
I’m okay with driving in downpours. The only bad experience with driving in downpours was the time my family rented a cab to travel out of state. It was raining cats and dogs when we were on the highway. The cab driver was speeding and that was fine, except that the car windshield wipers weren’t working properly.
It’s cool you were able to visit Amish country!
Love the photos. I don’t particularly like being the one to be driving through the rain but its a neat experience…like the car wash. But I LOVE Rainbows too. Love sunshowers too.
I don’t love driving in downpours, but at the same time, I’ve always loved driving (or being driven)in the rain listening to awesome music. That’s always been a favorite treat of my sisters’ and mine since childhood.
Oh, I hate driving in storms like that. Fortunately the worst ones I’ve been through, my husband was driving.
Driving in downpours is okay with me as long as someone else is behind the wheel…or if I’m by myself (other people make me nervous in those situations). I love your pictures though. They are quite awesome.
