Handcrafted Items Rule One World One Heart 2010

In my ever-growing quest to win stuff on other people’s blogs, I discovered One World One Heart (OWOH).  OWOH started in 2007 as a way to bring artsy bloggers together—and to give away amazing handcrafted creations.  After seeing some of the items, the over 500 bloggers (and the list is growing) were giving away, I thought to myself, “Self, you like to give things away.  Why don’t you participate in this international fun fest?”

So I talked to the Queen of Quirksical, the fair rules of Etsy shop, Quirksical Creations.  “Fair Queen of Quirksical,” said I, “would you consider being a good will ambassador to the people of the world by providing a gift certificate to your Etsy shop as a special gift to one special reader?”

She gave me a smile and nodded nobly.  And do you know what her Majesty did?  She bestowed upon me, not one, but two $15 gift certificates to her shop (One for Backseat Writer and one for Atypical Musings).  And apparently, the Quirksical artisans are working overtime to provide more items for the shop, so when the contest winners are announced here on Feb. 15, there will be a plethora of beautiful items from which to choose.

Free shipping will be offered for the item(s) purchased with the $15 gift certificate–no matter in what kingdom you reside. On behalf of the Queen, I apologize for my misunderstanding.

All you have to do is leave a comment below telling me (and the Queen—she’ll be checking in) your favorite song.  That’s it!  Be sure to enter on both sites [here and Atypical Musings]!  I’ll be using random.org to pick the winner.  Please only enter one time on each site.

  32. Just ONE favorite song? Not, say, one for cooking and one for partying and one for feeling soothed on a busy day?

    Ok, I guess. It’s probably Ocean Crossing, by Arlo Guthrie. But you wouldn’t know it, if you knew me, because I keep it special and play it rarely. It’s precious, not an everyday song. Just a wonderful one.

  33. Wow! The Queen is generous! I have a bizillion favorite songs but I guess if I must pick one it would be On The Sunny Side of the Street. It makes me think of my Dad – he loved to whistle and sing that song.

  41. Ok welllllllllllllll………this is an easy one for me ~ The Beatles, “In My Life”. For as long as I can remember, no other song stirs emotions in me like that one.
    Now for Mom, #524, Helen’s Vintage Wisdom, it would have to be Annapola ( a real oldie but goodie!)

  48. Don’t enter me, but I wanted to jump in on the fun question. I just got the new Lady Antebellum album and LOVE a track called “If I Knew Then.” And am I a huge dork to like the Taylor Swift/Boys Like Girls “Two Is Better Than One?” Because I do. Those are this week’s faves.

    I lost touch with my true love for 27 years and there was always a large part of me that would have done just that. Given up forever just to touch him one more time.

    And then I FOUND HIM again. HAHAHA oh the joy. And we got married and we are living happy ever after.
    So thats why it’s my favorite song.

My guilty secret is loving the big hair bands from the 80’s like Lovedrboy, Cinderella, Poison, White Snake, etc. I also like Journey- Loving, TOuching, Squeezing… I know…I need to grow up. I couldn’t find your profile to see where you are from…nice looming though, I enjoy the ribbon hat…in the meantime music is far to important to me to have a favorite…I go through phases of listening to the same cd’s over and over, lately it is Warren Zevon singing Knockin on Heaven’s Door and Neil Diamond singing Oh Mary…but for pure inspiration it has to be Jose Cura singing Nessan Dorma by Pucini, full blast, always makes me hold my breath and brings tears to my eyes…thx for visiting my blog, June
