Ford Cut Kim’s Dad

My friend, Kim, is one of the loveliest people I know. In fact, I can think of no one else that I would rather sing show tunes with on the back of a boat in the Pacific Ocean. She has a wonderful husband and two beautiful children, and I imagine very kind parents (or so I’ve heard…from Kim). I was just reading Kim’s blog and learned that her father was cut from his job at Ford. Not because he was a bad worker, because his job was eliminated, and oh, well, sucks to be him. The man put 35 years of his life into the company and he was escorted off the premises.

This sort of corporate crap makes me angry…and you know what else? I’ve owned an ’88 Ford Tempo and ’00 Ford Focus and they were both crappy cars! Maybe I’m only yelling from my little corner of the internet, but someone’s gotta stand up to big business. Or at least give Kim’s dad the kudos he deserves. So, Kim’s Dad, thank you for raising a lovely daughter who has been a great friend to me. I know you’re a good man, too bad Ford doesn’t want good men at their company. I seriously hope you get a new, better paying job at Chevy.
