Mo Rocca & Marky Ramone watch “American Idol”

Here’s a picture from Mo’s Blog of Mo and former AI contestant Chikezie  (I love his orange trainers) posing by Jay Leno’s car (read about the antics of Mo and Chikezie). I‘m sort of offended that I’m not on Mo’s blog roll, but I’ll live. Sigh.

I first encountered Mo Rocca’s amusing banter when I tuned in to VH-1’s “I Love the 80’s”. But I wondered to myself–what kind of name is Mo Rocca? While the answer to that question still escapes me, I have become a “Roccat” (that’s a fan of Mo Rocca, clever eh?). Reading his blog tickles my funny bone–but even funnier at the random videos Mo makes for shows like “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”.

In one of his latest videos, Mo invites Marky Ramone of the Ramones over to watch “American Idol”. I love how Mo is dumping Doritos into the bowl while Marky is rehashing the glory days of the Ramones and when Marky laughs out load at Simon Cowell’s comment to David Archuleta last week. The mere thought of Marky Ramone watching “American Idol” is hilarious. But watch this piece (sorry for the outside link; I had trouble embedding it! But you don’t have to watch the video to know the mere premise of the whole thing is funny. If only it was posted to YouTube) and let me know if you think Marky Ramone is going to be AI’s next musical mentor.

  1. In his blog, Mo Rocca says that he wants a TV series starring Mo, Chikezie, and Jay Leno’s car–hence the picture. Apparently, Leno drives himself to work everyday. Gosh, he’s braver than me. I’m scared of driving in cities. Although I did decently in Philly and D.C. Still…

Speaking of cars, we saw Newt Gingrinch’s car when I was in high school on a trip to the nation’s capital. Very nice. If I can find the pic, I’ll scan it and post it. 🙂 Thanks for the link, Mike.
